I love the approach that Ghais is taking to his music and his personality recently, and this feels like a culmination of it. There is no bullshit, no room for interpretation, no dancing around the issue, and no time to mope around. Rae Sremmurd could fill a whole room with cheers with a single melody. This project was stuffed with eclectic harmonies and unbelievably smooth flows, pure sugar. Not a lot to describe how fun of a listen SremmLife 2 is.

An interesting idea, but certainly a step down from Blonde on Blonde (the only other of his works I’ve heard at this time). A self portrait comprised of covers, renditions of earlier works, and standards, is something that really calls to me.
