pretty standard punk album, there isn't much to say about it, honestly. there's some pretty solid songwriting on here, but also nothing that notable to come back to.
Looking back at even the earliest of projects from The Brave Little Abacus, it's clear that from the very start, there was a certain chemistry and magic to their music that only grew as they went along. There is so much character here that other bands wish they had a fraction of. This album is like eating a meal you've had many times in the past.
It might get old on you at points, but if you're coming back and having it again, it has to be good, right?
It's definitely got this overly glossy sheen on it that a lot of modern music has, which has the effect of taking away from the impact of a lot of this music... However, this being probably the closest thing we'll get to a new Unwound album is reassuring that we won't get another one, and trust me, that's a good thing.
