Soulnessless is a 2012 ‘album’ consisting of five tracks, six bonus tracks, a full length movie centered on the first four tracks with visuals and words, and books. The books talk about the context of the tracks, and one is adapted into the text included in the movie (Or vice versa), I interacted with the album by listening to the album, and then reading the books while consuming the fifth track. As a rough heap of what im gonna say is studio recordings from Miles Davis’ best era, this is perfect for my use case. However this one hundred rating is fundamentally different than an album’s one hundred. This is not a curated experience*
In comparison to a studio record, live recording, single, ep, blah blah blah…
But as the music to thread an atmosphere together while reading through the second 35x pages of a chaotic book such as gravity’s rainbow. It does wonders.
One of the album's better tracks. Sucks that it's an exclusive thing as it felt like a coda to the album. It does a good job of blending both the vocal sample heavy tracks and the ambient tracks into one thing.
This is a high budget FBI investigates an end of the world cult with high connections film or tv show as an album. It’s the audio equivalent to that fictional Martin Scorsese Waco film in The Studio or whatever that shows called.
After thirteen years, the Scottish Duo return, bigger and badder than ever, finally with drums again! And it’s one of their better albums… I think.

I decided to listen to this, as I saw a friend did, and rated it higher than a bunch of very popular "best of's" I listened to the newer version on streaming, however stopped after the original tracks had ran their course.

This is boring, bad, deafening, egotistical, fascistically aligning, and mysoginistic to summarize.
Yes this is what the name describes as experimental rap.
It’s got interesting at best production That has a truly heinous mix that has all the vocals buried in the mix with either loud or deafening samples and instrumentals. To quote my brother hearing it “he leaves no room to breath.”
