An abyssal foray into the institution of Boris.
Look, I know there’s a lot of people who consider this a masterpiece, but honestly this album was REALLY boring to me and made me feel sleepy, like I get that the point of Stoner Metal, but still. Maybe I need to listen to more stoner Metal albums, but for right now, I just find this album really boring.

Everything on here is intelligently produced, the build ups are amazing and just as I think they're over, they succeed at building up even more and surprising me. Truly mesmerizing and eerie drone metal music.

the beauty of boris at last - feedbacker is how gracefully it shatters all preconceptions about the genres it dabbles in. listeners who hate metal will be immersed in how multi-faceted the instrumentation is. those who despise metal will appreciate how it never settles into redundancy. and everyone can get behind the incredible musicianship takeshi, atsuo, & wata bring. one of the greatest albums to ever take advantage of the fact that a record can be an experience.
