Here we have what was my AOTY of 2024. A well appreciated, almost-perfectly executed switch on Don's sound. While I would've liked to see him embrace this more rage-driven sound he teased with BANDIT, I still really don't mind the R&B, late night anthems. Don Toliver is one of the most talented individuals of the Cactus Jack collective and in the current mainstream era. He has made 5 stunning projects as of 2026, but this one has to be his most brand-defining album. R&B mixed with bouncy trap drums, that type of drugged out stuff that would've went old fast if it wasn't for this dude. HIs voice is angelic, playing a major role in all songs. There's nothing more to this. This shit means so fucking much to me. It was my first dive into Travis Scott's music. I'm now his biggest fan. The first time i've heard the intro i have cried, same for FE!N (im sorry), CIRCUS MAXIMUS and through the entirety of TELEKINESIS and TIL FURTHER NOTICE. when it came out, everything was a 10/10. now, i do hear some flaws in the features, the inconsinstency and how almost every track has some points where it slows down.
