It's my least favorite project from Florence. It has it's moments but they are few and far between. The songs drag on a little to long and don't differentiate enough between them.
Great vocals as always, very energetic, and it feels like a lot of passion was poured into the project. It's a nice short and easy listen and a must for Florence fans, new and old.
Bloated but incredible. Lana's voice is so heavenly throughout this project. The sounds of the album encapsulates you the journey from start to end. The album does stretch it's runtime but I feel their's enough good here for it not to matter too much. Peppers is a nice tempo change, the opening 2 track show off a great vocal range from Lana, Let the Light in is beautiful and Grandfather is such a mood.
It's a nice short project that's a bridge between his trilogy days and his (with foresight) new trilogy. Songs pretty much sound the same throughout the board with standouts like Call Out My Name and I Was Never There with Gesaffelstein who's production I adore and has two songs on this EP.
Love the vibe but feels too long for it's own good. Some songs are truly stand outs like 30 for 30, Saturn, and BMF but others dragged along. Also, Don Toliver's verse was great but way too short.
