holy tankage, after reading reviews and going back to it without rose tinted glasses this does infact come off as a mockery of hip hop and trap subgenres, which really sours the mood for the whole project once you realise that she wanted to have fun with it but like you can have fun with something without mocking it vylet you do that with every album except Monarch. while conceptually weaker and structurally samey, U never gets boring even on a 3rd listen which is something i can commend her on, i knew this album would be something new from the singles and i was right and then some, this feels like some 00s pop mixed with newer EDM tropes and some sprinkles of early hyperpop, this album is really for those who consider themselves underscores stans, including myself. the underscores come up is HERE <3

"cops and robbers and locals are moreso introductions to the town of wallsocket, while the rest of the songs follow 3 people and their struggles in wallsocket, johnny johnny johnny is catchy as to create a weird juxtaposition, much like hey ya and pumped up kicks where there is a very cathcy overall structure, but the lyrics definitely dont belong in such an environment.
