While it doesn’t have the cohesive structure that Flowerboy and Igor have, Call me if you get lost truly shows that Tyler wants to make the music he wants to make. The album shows him take a breather to look back at how he got to the top. This is a successful and unique as ever victory lap for him, including elements from all albums he’s made. I truly believe black midi and Black Country, New Road are the Beatles and Beach Boys of my generation. Cavalcade feels like a direct response to For the first time with inclusions of horn sections and violins as Pet Sounds was a response to Rubber Soul or Sgt. Pepper's to Pet Sounds. I'm very excited to see where these two bands go from this point on and the artistry to expand further and further.
