I am by no means an Evanescence scholar, as I have only this year really dug into their work. I felt this was very similar to the Bruno Mars album this year to me, in a good way. Amy Lee is so technically amazing at her craft, it's just playing really well in her zone. A really enjoyable listen, but also didn't break any ground to me. Absolutely worth a listen if you are a fan.
Paul is one of my all time favs and I think this is a pretty good album especially given his age. However I really did not like the sound mixing and/or production on this album. I am by no means an audiophile or any experience with making music, but I feel like the songs overall quality was being hindered by the sound of it. Still a good time, though
I actually was enjoying this for the first few tracks (Southern Nights is obviously an all-timer) but slowed down considerably in the middle. Still a soothing enough listen, however. My 2nd fav track was probably Let Go.
I'd put the final five tracks on this album alongside the very best of Beatles songs, however the first half of the album does not hit me as strong as the other albums in this Beatles era. However, the floor is still so high.
This didn't really hit me, not at this time in my life at least. I like The Who from what I have heard, but did not get a lot out of this. Favorite track was "Armenia City on the Sky". This is certainly an album I would eventually return to and give another shake.
