Atheist's third studio album, Elements, continues the band sound of progressive technical death metal with hints of jazz to add depth and complexity within the record but i find that Elements often more messy than its predecessor and often times feels stretched out with minute interludes which even though sound good feel sometimes forced in. In addition, with the production being worst than their 1991 release Unquestionable Pleasures does land Elements to be an overall weaker release but it is never the less a strong showcase from the band.
