Unit Structures

Impressive, absolutely. Too much, kinda of. Unit Structures is one of those Free Jazz records but never fully connected with me and although i do highly enjoy it especially from a more critical, theoretical point of view where I can analyse how avant-garde and improvisation can be so disjointed but make a complete experience, I often left wanting a bit more order. Unit Structures is great and Steps is amazing and the other tracks have moments which blow me away but I can't help but feel other records do this better. Nonetheless it is still fantastic and a mind bogging experience but the further i get through the record the more i wish it to be over. I don't know, kinda of a love hate relationship with Unit Structures.
