I had doubts about whether I would like this album, metal isn’t a genre I’ve listened to much. But this album has completely blown me away with how amazing it is. It’s so loud and noisy with guitars and drums galore.
I was familiar with the song change (in the house of flies) and it didn’t disappoint it is such an amazing song. Knife prty is my personal favourite on first listen, the ear piercing background screams are heavenly. Honestly, the vocals surprised me for ... read more
This is the album where we see the real true to form Kate bush and it’s outstanding
This album is still great however I feel like - for me at least - it ends up being quite boring and uninspired at certain points which is something I should not feel with Kate Bush. There are still some highlights though such as the opener and moments of pleasure
Positives
- The whole sound of this album is stunning
- Great narratives and lyrics throughout especially on songs such as misty, wild man and Lake Tahoe
Negatives
- The album is far too long and almost all of the songs could be cut down in length
- Lake Tahoe would be amazing if it sounded like the last minute and a half for the whole song
- The title track does not make sense to me and definitely could have been cut

God, what can I even say about this spectacular album. Kate Bush’s 5th studio album ‘Hounds of Love’ is the clearest example in my head of letting an artist rock with their sound and it being executed to its fullest capacity. Like many, I was first introduced to this album through hit TV show stranger things and it’s outstanding use of the opener ‘Running up that hill’ in one of the shows best scenes and decided to listen to the full album. Luckily I was not ... read more
