First 75% I loved. Last couple tracks I didn’t. Still pretty exceptional for a noise rock album, however not quite Sonic Youth level

Brilliant album. I must admit I was fooled by the intro and didn’t realize how depressing this would be, having zero knowledge of BCNR going in. I thought this would be a good gym listen, given the funky, progressive uptempo in the first several minutes, giving me a slight adrenaline boost that I assumed would carry on. A lot of peak and not a lot of mid. Love their reluctance to the status quo, especially in an era where metal was becoming so fucking bland on the mainstream.
