five seconds flat

I really wanna love this album, and there's so much to love here so in a lot of ways I do, but it also feels a bit like some songs are lacking things. A lot of songs on this end abruptly, or feel like they could be given an extra verse or chorus to really fill out the song, but that's not to say this is a bad album! It has a lot of pretty songs, pretty vocal work, and some great songwriting on certain songs (especially ceilings and erase me, which are the best one here), but I find myself wishing certain songs like hate to be lame and nobody likes a secret were just a little longer, as they have great potential that is not fully realized. Nonetheless, a pretty album and a nice listen.
