Unfold

This is an album that has stuck strongly with me for a long time, and has always been one I've loved. I've written many reviews for it, and shaken up my thoughts on it quite often, but this time I want to write a proper review just to showcase how much this album means to me. IMANU is an artist I started loving around this albums single release period, and every single here just managed to wow me every time. When the album released, I was adoring EDM, adoring DnB, and this album was everything to me. A perfect album!

As I've grown, my tastes have changed, and enjoyments I once loved weren't quite hitting for me. This album got caught in that to some extent, but still, having heard all the songs dozens and dozens of times, this album still hits for me. It's got incredible sound design, great vocal work, great collaborators, and virtually 0 spots where it gets worse.

It does have some issues though. The length of many songs just doesn't work, some of them feeling like they end too soon. Some other songs too feel a bit weaker than I would've hoped (Origami, Shoyu as specific ones) but are still solid.

So yeah. This album is fantastic! If you ever wanted to hear an extremely well put together EDM album with a lot of variety, check this one out. Great stuff.

Least Favorite Songs: 1000 Year Reign, Shoyu, Origami (these are still good)
