This album gives more of that soft Clairo goodness, but this time with a whole lot of jazz influence rather than a softer folk vibe. While folk isn't usually my thing, I do love how it's done on Sling, and on this album the jazz-y hooks just don't quite grip me as hard. This album is certainly not bad, it's a pleasant listen, but I feel like Clairo's music works best as a vulnerable folk-y sound, and this jazzy coffee shop style is not really as interesting to me as a result. This album ends up feeling like it's good, but probably could've been better.
