Young Nudy & Pi'erre Bourne - Sli'merre
70

Sli'merre features a lot of the melodic, synth heavy production we found on Die Lit but instead of a more energetic Carti, we get high Nudy. Nudy, however, performs relatively well with quirky, playful verses and hooks that match well with the production from Pi'erre. Despite this, he does falter and delivers some forgettable verses at the backhalf of this album before it closes. A Quiet Farwell is a little weird to listen to but the artistic quality of it shines.

ZUU is an album of Carol City bangers. Denzel brings a great project not too soon after his 2018 release TA13OO. While not a totally conceptual album by any means with too much of a theme, ZUU is filled with great tracks. With FnZ on production, Denzel gives intense verses and catchy hooks over trunk-knockin, southern beats that takes him from the peak of TA13OO back down to his home of Florida. While the features underperform and the album feels a little more fit to be a mixtape, it still ... read more
