Kendrick Lamar assembled a great track list for the Black Panther movie, set to come out this week. The African inspired production is bass heavy and makes it hard not to bob your head along. 'Seasons' stands out most to me as a track, as it lyrically is the most important song on the entire project. Future's feature on 'King's Dead' is funny, but only for the first listen. After that, it makes it hard to actually listen to the song, despite Jay Rock's incredible verse. One of my favorite ... read more
Andrew and Ben return in this 10 track album that has probably been the best thing I've heard thus far in 2018. The bouncy production is addictive and fun. I listened to this album while walking around in the rain and felt as though I was taken to another planet. All in all, this album will 100% be on repeat for the rest of the year and I'm satisfied with what MGMT has produced.

Rich Brian's debut project was great, but it did have many flaws. The track list seemed to be highly out of order and all over the place. The production style was much of the same, as were his flows. However, this is a great place to start from and I hope to see more of what Brian can do in the future. He and the entire 88Rising team have garnered a lot of attention over the past year, and I would love to see a joint project by the entire group in the near future. Overall, for a first project ... read more
Higher Brothers returned with a solid EP to follow up their fantastic debut album 'Black Cab' and have definitely improved their flows. The 4 rappers have all worked hard to continue to grow together and create more chemistry. The production of this album is unmatched as it has a gritty and explosive vibe to it. Ski Mask the Slump God kills both features he has on this album.

Skies' debut project was a bit of a shame in my opinion. I was excited to hear a full length mixtape by the Pennsylvania born rapper, but his best songs from the album were released prior to its release. His chemistry with Landon Cube is unmatched however, and I hope to see more collaborations from these 2 in the future. Hopefully he can continue to develop his own distinct sound and become a more polished rapper.
