yeah this is profoundly good with every song having this captivating loose cohesion that pulls you in like not many albums have for me
Emotionally potent and true to country roots. Definitely something the mainstream is missing from this genre. The only thing lacking from the album is variety and some slight inconsistencies, but I was pretty impressed
Despite the ubiquitous vocal timbre this album’s production is undeniable lush, intricate, and emotionally charged with ripping distortions and vast shoegaze washiness. I was genuinely impressed by this record and felt it hard to love at first bc this vocal style isn’t original and can even be annoying at times, but man the production sells it and I’m here for it
While I can appreciate the talent and blending of cultures and genres in this album, it felt like it was chasing cool grooves rather than feeling or storytelling and that will nearly always leave me feeling somewhat empty with a jazz record. The grooves are so great that it makes up for the lack of emotion, but man I really missed it
