Across 16 songs, relationships fail and prosper and then fail again; hope deteriorates and grows, only to deteriorate again. What Zach Bryan is is a moving portrait of life’s knottiest, in-between moments.
Zach Bryan retains a certain sameness: he's working variations of a grey scale, not painting with a full palette, and the variations on a theme can get a little dull by the end of the proceedings.

Zach Bryan always delivers in storytelling, but the production and singing performances make this album the most impressive of his career.
A really good country album with solid performances from the guy the LP is named after. Jake’s Piano - Long Island is a fantastic song and def my favorite from the tracklist
Zach Bryan delivers an emotion-driven, authentic expression of himself in a genre so devoid of authenticity. To call it a breath of fresh air would be an understatement.
