i'm like, stupidly annoyed by this album. Your Apartment was such a good first single - it had me so excited for what was to come from Wallows, the most excited i've been since Remote. their last album was sort of a let down for me as it felt very weak in comparison to their debut and follow-up EP. however, there were a handful of songs from it that felt really solid that i really liked. overall, i only came back to it a few times when i remembered it existed.

i genuinely think this is the best thing they've ever made. the right amount of experimentation mixed with the right amount of what we've come to know as "classic Wallows". to me, this doesn't feel nearly as generic as what a lot of people seem to be saying. in fact, that's what i think it holds over their debut. every song on here brings something new and captivating to the table, whether that's through the instrumental, the production, or the lyrics. all of these songs feel fresh ... read more
