I’m not huge on the higher pitched vocals on metal albums but I really liked this one

less of a loud and in your face approach compared to the first album but tom morello keeps finding wacky shit to do with his guitar mixed with Timmy C swapping out the distortion for some fuzz and what you get is pure Rage

heavenly ass beats and the patron saint of NY

kinda felt like a nothing burger but the drumming was on point

the vocals are certainly interesting but you get used to them as the album goes on and the instrumentation is some of the best I’ve heard in a while

a perfect time capsule that fits any point in history

a perfect in between of PHM and TDS

very strong debut album I loved every song except the interludes ofc and the last song

much like most of helmets discography the songs can feel sameish but Betty has more stand out tracks besides the big singles

not a bad album but songs tend to feel samey

very good sound and I can see where the deftones comparisons come from. I'm excited for a re-listen and the bands next project
