While I like a lot of the ideas here, I'm a bit disappointed by the overall execution and experience. Tracks don't even really transition that smoothly.
I didn't much like the production as much as I thought I would, being that Kenny Segal is involved... But it felt... amateurish?
Benjamin himself sounds a bit boring to me at times.
A few solid tracks though, my faves being Pompeii Statues and Same Kind of Lonely.
'Damn!' used to be my least favorite album by Kendrick...
This album is the new winner for least favorite Kendrick album.
Earlier this year when people were hyping up "Not Like Us," I felt like an out of touch boomer for not understanding why it was as popular as it was. I get that it was part of the whole Drake beef and I get that it had some catchy aspect to it, but I just couldn't get past his flow, nor the beat.

The album is really good. It sounds like black midi with drumming that often times isn't quite as awesome, while still great. Instrumentation is top notch.
I do get tired of his voice after some time, it was nice to get a short break on Motorbike, which is one of the highlights of the album.
Solid debut solo album. Maybe a bit too long for me, mostly because of his vocal style.
Heard his contribution on Danny Brown, and the 2 tracks from Blockhead's The Aux and it made me feel excited to listen to this album.
Unfortunately it fell flat for me, I think partly due to production, and that his voice/delivery novelty wore off. Maybe he's best as a feature?
Not a bad album. Well produced. some cool sections. Probably won't come back to it
Solar Witch is my summer jam if in the summer I lock myself in the basement and let no light in.
Cool to hear sampha again... But this album was not very interesting. It's just okay
I really wish this album was mixed better. I hope they make a more fleshed out project together sometime. I really wanted to like it and even convinced myself that I did at first, bit the fact that I can't hear a word Danny says, kinda upsets me.
The beats are interesting for sure. Some cool choices. But yeah, not much of an enjoyable listen.
A great album, with a great message about taking accountability, being an adult, growing. There were a few songs that were great, but that I'd never care to listen to again, like We Cry Together, and Aunties Diaries, and Mother I Sober. Kendrick is on another level on this one.
