Back with my effort to listen to more bands I've never gotten into. I decided to check out this latest album from Make Them Suffer. I was never huge on them but I decided to see them live last year to see Like Moths To Flames and Windwaker open. I thought they were pretty good. However, I was splitting my time between the main room (where MTS and their support played), and the venue's basement, which was hosting Traitors and Crown Magnetar that night.

Genuinely a little frustrated I didn't hear this record sooner, this is amazing!! I heard the singles when they were announced to be opening for Silverstein but never the whole record, and man. This is some great shit. Probably one of my favorite albums of 2025, just wish I heard it in 2025!!
Since Spanish Love Songs signed their label deal with Pure Noise Records in 2019, one of my best friends has been adamant that they're one of the best bands in their scene, and I've just never got it. Even after seeing them with Hot Mulligan on the Why Would I Watch tour, they just never really did a ton for me. This album sounds like the soundtrack to a Jane Schoenbrun movie and I think that's why I like it so much. Beautiful shit.
