With variety, intention, impressive musicality and the knowledge to put the song first, Bloom have come into their own here. The Light We Chase will surely continue to make them blossom.

Whilst The Light We Chase can at times feel scattered, the snappy pace of its run time and immediate sense of emotional vulnerability keeps it quintessentially Bloom.

What happened here? This might be the most disappointed I've felt this year
It's only been a year and a half, and we're already getting another album from Bloom. I was a bit shocked to see that they were releasing a new record so early. Somehow, I've missed the singles leading up to it, despite listening to songs from their last record all the time. Compared to their debut album, bloom has found the perfect balance of heavy and soft, their growth instrumentally and physically as a band is just amazing
It’s good but so insanely overhyped.
I was really looking forward to this after seeing it on so many people’s top metalcore lists over the last few years and I’m just underwhelmed.
Bloom sound far more confident on this record, doubling down on what they do best. The album hits harder emotionally and musically, while avoiding some of the vocal choices from the last release that held it back for me. Every track feels worthwhile.
