Escapism and Oscar Winning Tears are amazing tracks, but the fall off is severe after them.
Having blindly bought tickets due to "the Warning" opening for him in the states, I decided I should probably listen to the album that'll be played at full force all night. I usually listen to an album 3-4 times before giving a rating and review, but this is one that unfortunately I don't see myself going back to anytime soon, so I'm going ahead with the review now.

Imagine royal Blood and Muse decided to merge, then make the songs 2 minutes shorter. I'm happy this band is getting the recognition they deserve, but the new label/sound is a little too safe and feels like they're drifting from what made them truly unique. They can still rock out and have amazing live presence but there's no absolute standouts like in previous albums, except for "Sharks". The first official studio album from the powerhouse trio is full of great ideas and elements that would later be improved in each subsequent album. With this being so early, it's no surprise it's the lowest rated of the lot. However, there are 2 tracks that are among their best as a band even today.

Finally getting around to this one after holding off due to the singles being some of the weaker ones in my opinion. That being said, I'm so glad I did because this was much better than I expected.
To start, Danny is a charismatic bada** that happens to have some of the most powerful vocals in the scene. She is the perfect frontwoman for a rock band.
