This is my first go-around with Florence, and let me tell you I am ashamed to admit that. She is one of the best leaders, singers, song creators, whatever label you want to give, I have ever seen. Her voice is angelic, yet harrowing when need be. The tenderness of her voice filling your ears, leading into a huge belt of a quick, or slightly drawn out note. Every song has a clear message or meaning, and they aren't lost on me. I have found my new go-to album.
Incredibly ambitious, introspective, storybook led music that simply can't be produced and polished better. A story of a man sinking, losing his life, and miraculously reaching the shore to continue on his journey. Fantastic project.
On the date of June 28, the year of our Lord 2024, Lupe Fiasco dropped the album of the year. Every track is in your face, whether it be the beat, or Lupe's rapping. A nice, easy 8 track record coming in at only an half hour, but the half hour feels like 5 minutes as you're listening. I don't consider myself a "fan" of Lupe, but this record made me one. Samurai is modern hip hop/rap at its finest. LUPE FIASCO made this, yes, LUPE FIASCO.

Vince Staples' Dark Times truly shows that Vince Staples is going through some dark times. All jokes aside, I'm 3 listens deep into this album and this is my final score, I had to contemplate and relisten to find how I feel about the songs musically. Artistically, and story wise, Vince is struggling, and he knocks the theme out of the park. Every song has incredibly smooth, laid back vocals, a good variety of flows and cadences stacked throughout. Great album again from Mr. Staples.

Now THIS is true boom-bap, east coast hip hop. Most fun I’ve had with a hip hop album in a very, very long time. Bars after bars after bars, with incredibly smooth flows. No song feels like the one you just heard. Being a massive fan of everything John Cena has ever done, JOHN CENA is one of my favorite songs ever, wish I could give it more than a 100. The record never gets stale or out of touch of the sound they were going for, MAYBE except for INTERMISSION 2. Holy cow what an album. My ... read more
Charli xcx knocks it out of the park with this extremely electronic, pop based album. Every instrumental is expertly crafted, along with Charli’s vocals being perfectly executed. One of my favorite pop albums of the year for sure. Her lyrics consist of someone who is clearly insecure, jealous, love-hungry, guilt-ridden while also pushing the guilt away and selfish, hence the title brat. Plenty of songs I can hear playing in a club as we speak. Wonderful record all together. I don’t ... read more
My first experience with Aurora, must say I was pleasantly surprised. I am not usually a fan of pop and electropop in general. That being said, I thoroughly enjoyed this record for the most part. This album is clearly full of general fear, fear of loneliness, desperate for human interaction, and simply human touch. The production is fantastic, as well as the vocals, and vocal harmonies. There are a couple of songs that aren't anything special, but in no means bad.

Brutal, heartbreaking and incredibly raw, strained vocals from a man who has lost everything he ever had in his mind. As someone who has experienced death too much at the age of 24, this album made me cry for an entire hour straight. Never has death been so appropriately portrayed and lived through music. Phil Elverum will always have my respect for putting his whole life into this project, because that is exactly what was taken from him.
For the "first album" for Death Grips, it is a near masterpiece. Revolutionary, ear scratching, brain tingling, madman rambling greatness.
Crack in my ear, and I love just about every second of it. Abrasive, paranoid sounds all the way throughout, of course, alongside is MC Rides iconic screaming vocals. But also, he catches some smooth grooves, as well as the beat choices at certain points. Mostly just organized chaos, however.
Decent album consisting of classic metal and hard rock instrumentals and vocals, mixed with some hyperpop that either mixes well, or not at all. A couple of misses and a couple of bangers on this record, with the rest in the middle.
Went into this thinking no way it's the #1 album ever, according to Apple, let alone top 50. It is now in my top 3 personal favorites maybe ever. This is true R&B and hip hop mixed. Along with all of that, this album features one of the greatest songs of all time in Everything is Everything. Truly amazing.
Amy made me fall in love with her in the first half of this album, Me & Mr. Jones and the inflection in her vocals won me over. Then, being a former marijuana addict, when Addicted started, it caught me so off guard and cracked me up, not to mention, its a bop. Great album, Norah Jones on speed if you will.
Classic Billie EIlish at this point. Beautiful album with only one miss through the entire thing, that to me being Chihiro. The true shiner track on this album is The Greatest. The vocals, lyrics, and the final ending especially of it really makes the song a story rich masterpiece imo. Overall, Billie delivers on this with great instrumentals, vocals and an album long story.
On a relisten to this record, I found myself sitting back and just cruising along with each song, not one moment of question, pause or mediocrity. Quadeca deserves so much more recognition, I can see Elton John levels of career longevity and success for this man. No one could debate it either, he is one of the greatest musical artists of our generation, and I cannot wait until more ears fall upon his music. Texas Blue currently is my favorite song ever.

Genuinely one of the greatest Metal albums I have ever heard, if not the best. Diversity, every instrumental KNOCKS and has impeccable mixing. The vocals are out of this world. Absolutely incredible, for this to come out in 2024 is nothing short of a miracle.
