I can't get into this. It's probably as layered, beautiful and complex as everyone says, but I don't enjoy the surface enough to dig deeper. The constant high notes just kind of tire me out and it's just really busy but in an unpleasant way to me.

What? The first of the many problems this album has is that it is at once both too loud and too quiet. It was impossible for me to find an equalizer setting that brought everything to the forefront without causing the vocals to tear my eardrums. My experience with this album is best described as trying to hear what someone is telling you in one of those overly loud clubs.

I feel like this project was well-intentioned and unique, but it doesn't live up to its own expectations. The Pink Floyd-esque intro is cool at first because who doesn't love Pink Floyd? but that is precisely the problem: the song is only interesting because its a derivative of something great, but not great of itself.
