It's insane how something so musically complex can be so easy on the ear. Every song on the tracklist brings something to the table, and the album experience as a whole is just an incredible journey of joy, poignancy and introspection.
It's hard to imagine this album is 25 years old. It sounds like something that could easily come out 25 years from now.
Favorite track: Veridis Quo, this song is an evergreen masterpiece of instrumental music.
GYBE casually returned after a 10 year hiatus to drop two of the greatest songs ever made and bundled them with a bit of drone to soften the landing a bit
Yet another album of the decade contender from the ferociously patriotic duo
Title track and The Secret Life of Arabia are the only highlights, the former being one of the best songs ever written, but it's unfortunately sandwiched between a bunch of mediocre noise.
River is cool but mumble + ai 530 isn't cool, neither is slaughtering City in the Sky.
