This is not only the best Kanye album in my eyes, but also the most “Kanye” album, if that makes sense. His rapping on this album holds so much of his personality. The production felt like a blend of everything he had done in the past. Fantasy is not his magnum opus, TLoP is.
I don’t exactly know why, but I don’t like this album nearly as much as some other people do. More Than A Feeling is incredible, but I feel like every other song on the album doesn’t hold a candle to that song. I thought the whole thing felt basic and blending in with other albums of this genre. I don’t know, I think this album is overrated AF.
This is one of the most dualistic albums I have ever heard. It’s both joyful and somber at the same time. Every instrumental carries so much mood and emotion with them. Some songs, like Super Trouper, Happy New Year, and Put On Your White Sombrero, sound upbeat and happy, in some strange, melancholy way that doesn’t make sense. This album is mostly just the best elements of The Melodic Blue picked out by Keem and thrown in this album. However, while Keem did show an improvement when it comes to his storytelling, production, and especially vocals, he also showed that he still isn’t perfect. Ca$ino encompasses everything that Baby Keem is: A lyricist, (despite him saying that he isn’t one,) a rapper, (obviously,) and most of ... read more
This album is one of the greatest hits of music or even sound that has ever hit my ears. This album, in my eyes, (or ears,) is THE rock album. It’s so cinematic, heavy, energetic, and almost cliche, but never boring. The album is literally about a road trip, and that concept perfectly encompasses the sound of this album. It’s a trip. Full of twists and turns and hard rights. In some cases, like Mosquito Song, the sound even drifts. If I had to pick one word to describe this album, ... read more
