This is probably the worst album I've heard in a hot minute and I am struggling a lot to see what some peeps see in it. Easily the worst project in his career for me. At least HABIBTI and ICE MAN have decent beats/music behind them, but this record is a mix of shitty songwriting, shitty delivery and shitty beats.
Like power to you if you like it but nah I am never listening to this ever again.
Same reason I found Drake's ICEMAN boring. The beats are there sure, the lyrics are fucking tiring at this point. Yeah bro you're such a fucking alpha male shut the fuck up I'm tired of it.
Haven't heard this in full in like almost 14-15 years, and am so happy how well it aged! I remember a lot of games at that time got so many tracks on this album in them, which introduced me to this band. What a great relisten.
I'll be real for the most parts the beats are really good. The deliveries and the performance are there from Drake, but damn the lyrics are just tiring. It's definitely the best one out of the batch but like, ya know, I wish it was about anything else cuz these beats deserve way better pen game.
Waste of potential for sure, but it's mediocre at its worst.
