This might be their worst work- some shining moments, but it honestly feels drab and lacks the consistency of quality experimentation that was on their last record. Incredible, a modern blues masterpiece

Honestly, fucking great. While i'm a little shaky on the vocals, and the rapping could use some work. I fucking adore the production on this record and something about BackxWash's delivery gives me fucking shivers. And I don't know why, it just feels very authentic. Despite my appreciation for certain aspects of this record, I find myself dissapointed with this release. I began getting excited for this record at 15 years old. Right when I learned about who J.Cole is for most of my adolescence and early adulthood i've been waiting for The Fall Off, similarly to how some people have been waiting for GTA VI for most of their lives.
