Started a bit shaky but the second half is a whole lot better. Despite the uninteresting production and too little James Blake, the the lyricism becomes very strong on some of highlight tracks
Cudder seems happier than he's been in a long time (congrats on getting married) and this shines through on this record, which is best in five years. It's a well-produced and concise album that doesn't stick around long enough as to bore. I really like the instrumental intro, and the middle portion of this album is surprisingly strong. Laufey delivers her best album to date, with her third LP being her most consistent she's put out so far. Her writing has become more and more mature with each release, culminating in some superbly written tracks, especially 'Snow White', 'Too Little, Too Late' and 'Forget-Me-Not'.
