I love how some songs are so percussion heavy and guitar minimal that they almost sound back to front. The unique combination of Bassin's maximalist drumming, De Gesu's textural bongo-ing, Green's eclectic guitar and Winter's ethereal voice contributes to a sound that's totally their own.
I like bits of every song. If they could put all those bits in one song, that would be great.
Some of the highest highs and lowest lows of their career. Poorly ordered with a hard slump in the middle.
Athens, France was a standout for me. Sometimes I found the lyrics and delivery a little cringey but it's pretty good stuff.
