Towa Bird's biggest fault is that she can't write memorable music. She's a fantastic guitar player but it gets so lost in the quite boring everything else. She compromises her guitar abilities to write the most basic and forgettable pop music of her sapphic pop contemporaries. If she went in a more rock direction or took a step back from being front and center and joined a band or backing band and then came back to trying to being a popstar it might work out better for her.
A fun listen but kinda boring feels like she could've done more. The title track feels like a recycled version of Demi Lovato's rip-off of Hole's Celebrity Skin
For debut record this thing is sharp! Soon to be a staple in pop-punk and queer music. The future looks bright.
The album feels timeless and makes you nostalgic for moments you've never expierenced. From love to grief its an incredible rollercoaster that makes you feel everything Brian wants you to.
A self reflective endevour that starts at falling apart after a breakup and takes you on a journey of healing and coming back to yourself. The marketing perfectly bait and switched the listener by being advertised as a messy, horny, and sad album, but the way that tracklist is ordered makes you reconsider that Girl of My Dreams is a song about loving yourself rather than a potential romantic/sexual partner.
