I'm surprised this is even on the 1001 albums generator, it's one of the few albums I can say I actively disliked listening to. Despite being 35 minutes it drags heavily and is so repetitive and boring, the vocals are terrible and the combination of everything just comes across as jarring. I just don't get this yet, maybe eventually

A more modern equivalent of the Cocteau Twins, this may be one of my favourite dream pop releases I've heard. The echoed ethereal vocal tracks, dreamy and concentrated atmosphere, everything works hand in hand to create potent album. Troublemaker has quickly become a top tier song for me, and the quality doesn't dip throughout. Something about melancholy lyrics with beautiful sounds just gets me every time

Incendiary falls into a common trap a lot of punk and hardcore albums do, in that it doesn't go anywhere! That really frustrates me because otherwise this is a fantastic album. The guitars just rip through each and every song, vocals fierce and cutthroat. There's a lot of anger and uncertainty that is present in most of the tracks, which reflects the time period it was made in. As much as I really enjoyed this, I just wish I could say there was a true direction to what this album ... read more
