this album feels like wandering aimlessly in the forest. it's early in the morning, your bare feet feel slightly cold and wet as they dance around in the dew of the grass. the sun fights its way through the trees to reach you and the birds that are singing their song for you. the air is humid and warm. you feel nice.
that's this album.

i'm so torn on this. there are some really pleasant moments on this album. a lot of them aren't very pleasant however.
i really like jacob collier as a concept. as a person. as a musician, but this ain't it. i've seen him live and i had a fantastic time, the guy has a really fun stage presence. here's why i think stage jacob works:
he doesn't have access to his logic pro and terabytes of RAM. he just has the stage, band and audience. and he knows how to work with that.
