La Maquina by Conway the Machine is honestly 11 tracks of Conway doing what Conway does best: gritty rhymes, tuff beats, and layered bars about rugged lifestyles and luxury braggadocio. Definitely a pretty good project for true Conway the Machine fans.
Doe or Die II by AZ definitely stands true to his signature style and honestly somehow still carries a 90’s tone throughout this whole sequel album despite being released in 2021. An enjoyable listen especially for any genuine fans of AZ.
Aaliyah’s “One In A Million” is exactly that.
A futuristic R&B masterpiece that aligns her smooth vocals and laidback attitude with Timbaland and Missy Elliott’s production. It’s very obvious to hear how this album pushed the genre forward and continues to influence the sound and culture of R&B after it.
“Doe or Die” is a critically underrated album from a critically underrated rapper named AZ. Yeah, ‘THAT’ AZ from Nas’ “Life’s A Bitch” cut from Illmatic which released a year prior to AZ’s “Doe or Die” debut but nonetheless AZ held his own then, and he holds his own now on this cult classic. “Reasonable Doubt” is a cornerstone of hip-hop and exemplifies JAŸ-Z’s excellence as a rapper and artist as he weaves themes of luxury, braggadocio, bars, emotion, self-awareness, and observations of the game into 15 tracks. This is undoubtedly a classic, an essential, and an album that has withstood and will continue to withstand the test of time.
