You can really tell that a lot of work was put into this live re-imagining of the album. And it certainly pays off as every element, from the instrumentals to the vocals and the light work, has clearly been meticulously designed to work together as a whole. And Gaga's energy is unmatched as per usual. I'm actually pretty impressed that she pulled this off while touring.
I guess my only problem with this is that 'Die With A Smile' feels so disjointed at the end that, even ... read more
Namasenda's clearly not trying to necessarily explore new things, as she rarely gets out of her comfort zone in "limbo". Her debut, nonetheless, doesn't need to reinvent the wheel to be good pop music. It's not something new what the fans are getting for their patience, but the most polished, most confident version of an artist that knows exactly the kind of pop she wants to make.
A decent closing statement as a farewell afterparty, even though it's clearly not her strongest project.
After her dreamier, darker, and wildly underrated "EYEYE", Lykke Li leaves on an unexpectedly happy note in "The Afterparty", which at times resembles the sound of her short-lived side project LIV. Her signature melancholia, though, is still well-spread throughout the much more familiar second part of the album.
An unexpected yet welcome deluxe version.

Dorian Electra's self-titled collection of covers is an especially underwhelming release after their previous "Fanfare" lacked the experimentation that made their first two projects irreverent and fun.
One can respect the idea behind a project like this as a way to break out of a block, but the curation and execution are just not the best here. The Gorillaz track is good, but most of the time the album feels like a party where the host has locked in their guests and refuses to ... read more

If this had been 9 or 10 tracks long, it would've been a pretty decent release.
Bad Gyal and her team, instead, have opted for the 'let's just throw shit at the wall and see what sticks' strategy. And lots of it does stick. 'Más Cara' is probably her catchiest track since 'Perdió Este Culo' and, even though I'm not the biggest fan of the guy, her collaboration with Ozuna is a great mix of kompa and old-school reggaeton (which is ... read more
"Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally." lacks the intimate lyrics of his debut and the colorful fun of his second release. Even "Harry's House" at least had a catchy lead single. Here, unfortunately, there aren't any memorable moments. Not lyric-wise, not production-wise. Harry Styles has done the bare minimum to justify a paycheck.
Not necessarily mediocre but a clear step back from her loud "<COPINGMECHANISM>" and her much more inspired, introspective "empathogen".
An inoffensive nothing-album that is as bland as its cover would suggest. You might think that in the era of heavy synths and maximalism in pop music, its easy-to-digest production would be a breath of fresh air, but that would require Hilary Duff to have something relatable, or interesting at all, to say.
It's safe to say now that Charli's "Wuthering Heights" can proudly join Gaga's "Harlequin", NIN's "TRON: Ares", and even Hans Zimmer's "Batman v Superman" at the Good Soundtrack, Awful Movie club.
"Cerulean" might be more cohesive than "HARLECORE", but it still does not fully showcase the HUGE DANNY we would like to hear.
With only a couple of memorable moments but a ridiculous amount of insufferable interludes, "BEAUTIFUL MADNESS" is too messy, and, honestly, too uninteresting to keep listeners engaged. It definitely lacks the personality of her previous release.
