Behemoth - Evangelion
95

if im being completely honest, i hate black metal, blackgaze is awesome and beautiful but ill never get the appeal towards just good ol raw black metal, as it just seems stupid, horrible production with really bad vocals is something ill never understand. but blackened death metal is a whole different story, in fact, one of the first metal bands i had listened to was this one band called goatwhore, and they had played blackened death metal, i recently got into behemoth and im beyond impressed. ... read more

Converge - Love Is Not Enough
95

there was a time where i was getting back into heavier music after taking a whopping 2 year break, and i had gotten back into alot of death metal, bands such as death, cannibal corpse, the black dahlia murder, dying fetus, and alot more, and i remember hearing a lot of praise towards converge's 2001 album jane doe, so i gave it a good ol' try. i stopped listening the second after fault and fracture had played. jane doe did not sound like how i expected it to in any way shape or ... read more

Neurosis - An Undying Love for a Burning World

this is one BLOATED ass album, but it makes up for that by sounding amazing, and this was my into to sludge metal as well, i like how hypnotizing it is. the vocals sound like how i would expect them to, the guitars, the drums, everything. the title was initially what pulled me in, "an undying love for a burning world", that sounds fucking cool, i listened to it and got lost immediately, i cant describe it but it just sounds like SLUDGE metal, its sludgy and slow paced in the best ... read more

Gorillaz - The Mountain

when i had first entered this album, i was a bit worried about the extremely wide array of features on every track, because i was just praying it wont be featureslop. and it wasnt at all, i listened to it twice during school the very first day it had came out, and it was nearly perfect, if theres one thing you should know about me, its that i believe rap ended up becoming really bad after the 90s (other than mf doom and death grips of course) and its a genre i havent really cared for because ... read more

Architects - Holy Hell

this album is the perfect tribute to a band member that had passed from skin cancer, and it makes me sad that we had lost tom searle so early, rest in peace. onto the music, it definitely represents the emotion displayed in lost together // lost forever and all our gods have abandoned us, but the emotion sounds even more personal here. sam carter gives it his all here as well, which makes his voice the highlight of this album, and whenever his voice is isolated, it adds on to the beauty of ... read more

Lamb of God - Into Oblivion
80

i love how lamb of god just returned to form in the blink of a fucking eye, this record is great and filled with 8-9/10 songs, randy starts taking a heavier approach here with his vocals, starting to do amazing high screams, they guitar work is sick (again) and the drums are speedy and groovy. great log album, i cant wait what comes next considering that they avoided becoming sellouts entirely with this record, its like a "hey we still fucking got it" kinda record, and they really ... read more

Architects - Lost Forever // Lost Together
100

i wanna review another architects album cause im doing a marathon of their big 3 albums from the 2010s, this one is my personal favorite as well, as their songwriting makes me extremely emotional, sam carters voice is so powerful yet so beautiful at the same time, the djentin on this albums pretty sweet, bleghs are awesome here too, breakdowns are nice, and that one lyric on "youth is wasted on the young" is probably one of my favorites of all time "There's parts of me that ... read more

Architects - All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us
93

honestly, this album feels very sad to me, tom searle was amazing, and he wrote most of these lyrics while going through cancer, and i admit that i cried while listening to it after i found out that tom had actually died, on the other side, the music is amazing djentcore and honestly i couldnt ask for more from architects, just raw emotion, and one of the few METAL bands ive cried while listening to.

Bring Me The Horizon - POST HUMAN: NeX GEn

this album honestly just feels like a bunch of the random bullshit oli n the gang have been doing over the past 18 or so years all shoved into one album somehow, its like a happy accident in a way, they somehow put all this in a blender and made it work, like it sounds like everything they've done from suicide season onwards put into an album. and im not saying that they didnt add new things, they started using a genre i personally fucking despise, hyperpop, but they somehow made it sound ... read more

Slipknot - Iowa
100

this album was and still is very highly praised, which is confusing, considering it incorporated lot of death metal elements in it, the albums a fucking mess, in the best way possible. slipknot was the first metal band i really ever got into, i had listened to stuff like sabbath and metallica and just got kinda bored with it quickly, it wasnt chaotic enough for my 10 year old brain, but i had stumbled across a song called eyeless on my youtube feed, and it was exactly what i was looking for, ... read more

Linkin Park - Meteora

I may not listen to this album all the time, but then again whenever I do it always feels like the first time I ever listened to it, perfect album.

My Chemical Romance - Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge
100

I'm gonna keep it short but not really, but this is my favorite album of all time, listening to it feels like the first time i listened to it each time, I adore this record, every track just feels like it has it's own personality, like give em hell kid feeling more like a post hardcore/alt metal song but cemetery drive felt like a full blown emo song, whether it's how theatric the record is or just how dear i hold it, it never misses, and has gotten me through many low points (i ... read more
