if im being completely honest, i hate black metal, blackgaze is awesome and beautiful but ill never get the appeal towards just good ol raw black metal, as it just seems stupid, horrible production with really bad vocals is something ill never understand. but blackened death metal is a whole different story, in fact, one of the first metal bands i had listened to was this one band called goatwhore, and they had played blackened death metal, i recently got into behemoth and im beyond impressed. ... read more

this album is the perfect tribute to a band member that had passed from skin cancer, and it makes me sad that we had lost tom searle so early, rest in peace. onto the music, it definitely represents the emotion displayed in lost together // lost forever and all our gods have abandoned us, but the emotion sounds even more personal here. sam carter gives it his all here as well, which makes his voice the highlight of this album, and whenever his voice is isolated, it adds on to the beauty of ... read more
