First listen (Reviewing this a few hours after listening so it may be a little sloppy)
FINALLY another first listen, there hadn't been one for a month that weren't by They Might Be Giants (excluding NAtHtM by Mitski). I've been curious about The Brave Little Abacus for a while and honestly only picked this album cuz it had a cool cover. I like the vocals a lot, they're just so different from everything else and fit the music so well. The concept/story the album tries to go ... read more
Third listen
I relistened to this just to get away from the They Might Be Giants stuff. Cirkus and Lizard were just as good as I'd remembered them being. the rest honestly surprised me withe how much I liked it, I also forgot that King Crimson was doing solos like the one in Lizard this early in their discography. Second listen
Probably the most pollished album since some of their earlier stuff, pretty consistent too, but something about it just feels run of the mill, maybe my opinion on it with get more positive like it has for Factory Showroom and Milnk Car but it feels averagely good at some points.

Second listen
The first time I listened to this I didn't rate any of the songs but I was still gonna review it saying something like "At the start I really liked it but as it went on I liked it less and less, honestly this is my least favorite by They Might Be Giants yet. Prevenge and Damn Good Times are in contest for my top 20 but the second half is just a slog" but then when I saw the ratings of some of the tracks I decided to give it another shot where I actually rate the ... read more
