Idk how they did it. The samples are awesome so fuck the people that took this off streaming services.
The tracks have the substantial ability to put a person to rest, he executes this EP beautifully.
The amount of hit songs on this album are CRAZY. But a couple of songs on here are mid, like bad mid, and that carries this album to the bad side of reviews.
I kind of doubted this album when it dropped, I expected some pretty good tracks that are above the 90+ rating. Either way it’s a good album.
Key points are the beginning of don’t be dumb/trip baby. The heavy production can send someone into a coma. Other moments I like is the rock approach to punk rocky and that’s really it lowkey.
EDIT: using westside Gunn for adlibs only is criminal
I like to put this album’s songs in a pyramid. Me and your mama and redbone would be at the top, followed up by some of the good tracks, and at the bottom would be California and the night me and your mama met.
This album is pretty good, I mean we are talking about prime RS, where Mick Jagger and Keith Richard were on the whitest and purest forms of cocaine that was out there.
Some of the songs sounded like “chilling in the Midwest music” as I like to call it, and although some of the tracks may be a little bit slow and poorly produced, RS turns it around and makes a good or great song.
