mxmtoon - liminal space

I like it a lot.
She went back to the type of sound that I really love. I'm getting somewhat 'dusk & dawn' vibes from this album and it's my favourite mxmtoon album so I'm pleased.
'rain' is most likely my favourite track right now, this song is just wonderful. I like 'elevator' and 'just a little' a lot as well.

Jorja Smith - Lost & Found

A very powerful and beautiful album.

Joey Valence & Brae - PUNK TACTICS

Idk man these guys make such fun music.

DAY6 - Band Aid

Again, I didn't really like it at first. This time because this album is a lot brighter than their other ones and I'm more into their darker/edgier sound because it hits me harder. I listened to it quite a lot and gave it some time, turns out it's really, really good. It has a lot of catchy songs, 'Shxtty Game' is so good, 'Help Me Rock&Roll' is really fun. 'I'm Fine' intro hits me so, so hard. It's the type of DAY6 song I live for. ... read more

DAY6 - Fourever

When it came out I wasn't really in the mood for it. That's the first DAY6 album after a big hiatus so I had huge expectations because they're one of my favourite bands so I was slightly disappointed at first. I returned to it several times and gave more of my time to the album, and I really like it now. 'Welcome to the Show' is the only song I still dislike, that's not the type of DAY6 I like. The rest of the album is very solid. 'HAPPY' is a good title. ... read more

aespa - Armageddon

A really solid first full-album.
Supernova and Armageddon are great titles. The album has strong and varied bsides; BANHAMA is a banger, Melody is wonderful its chorus is incredibly pretty, Live My Life is very powerful and catchy.

aespa - Girls
70

A big step down from their first mini. However, it's hard to dislike the album. Even the songs I'm not really into are such big earworms that it's very hard not to hum or sing along. Girls is great, I love this title track a lot.

aespa - Savage
95

Not a huge Savage fan but those bsides are absolute elite. They're just so excellent. Still my favourite aespa album to date.

Vision@ry Vision - Performante
85

I don't really like Jaden but this mf knows who to talk to to give his groups great music.
Yet another really good tripleS album. I was a bit worried about this one because it's a dance-focused unit and these rarely deliver for me. Thankfully, they went for a Hip-Hop type of sound for the title so everything I usually dislike about these types of dance/choreo-focused songs isn't present there. I like 'Hit The Floor' and I'm almost certain I'll like it even ... read more

Linkin Park - Hybrid Theory

I appreciate the album for what it is, what it started, and what it represents to people and the industry. I didn't grow up with it so I don't feel very emotionally attached to it, but I still like it. Of course, I adore In The End. Crawling and Papercut are very good. Pushing Me Away and High Voltage are nice surprises, I like High Voltage a lot.
It's a good album and the more I listen to it, the more it grows on me.

Withering Surface - Exit Plan

Pretty nice album. Reminds me of early Mercenary at times.

PURPLE KISS - BXX
60

This is still my least favourite PurKi album to date.

I consider getting Ryan Jhun on the prod for your title a betrayal, especially when it's a group whose musical identity I adore. (Love-hate relationship with this goon. He has co-produced a lot on songs on the Spica Russian Roulette album (one of my fav KPOP mini ever). He did After School which is, to me, still one of the best GG title of this new gen of KPOP (if not the best one). I think he does a really good job with IVE music but ... read more

PURPLE KISS - HEADWAY
65

Too short, a little too safe for my liking, and ultimately not the PurKi I initially fell in love with.
This is the fourth PurKi release I feel pretty lukewarm about and it saddens me a lot. They're supposedly my favourite newer group (ex æquo with Billlie now I guess). On its own, I feel the album pretty weak. It's yet another "ok" album. The good thing about it is that the songs blend pretty well with the rest of their songs and it keeps solidifying their ... read more

The Volunteers - L
NR

I prefer Yerin's solo music a lot more, it really speaks to me. I never got into their debut album despite the many tries I gave it so I went into this one not expecting much. I enjoy it more than the first one. It's short enough for it not to become boring to me, so I appreciate that a lot. I'm still not a huge fan of this type of music but it's always a pleasure to hear her sing and she seems to love doing this project.

aespa - Whiplash
75

🧎Flights, Not Feelings 🧎

It's a pretty good album. I wish 'Whiplash' chorus was different because as it is it doesn't really hit me the way I want. 'Kill It' is so good, I love it a lot. The other bsides are decent (maybe it'll take more listens for those to grow on me).
Sadly, SAVAGE keeps being my favourite aespa album by very far but they're slowly building a very strong and fun discography.
Just Another Girl is such a RV type of song. I find ... read more

Feldup - Stared At from a Distance
NR

Listening to this feels so wrong.
It's so filled with raw emotions, it's so personal and intimate that I almost feel like a creep. He voiced in some of his videos that this album wasn't for anyone but him, and you can truly feel that. I'm just an odd bystander.
I find the album pretty damn good. The instrumentals are stellar. I didn't like the singing at first (never been a fan of strong French accents in English songs but that's purely personal), but it grew on ... read more

SUMIN - MINISERIES 2

This is so good. So groovy and soulful.
I'll have to return to MINISERIES 1 at some point because I don't remember much from this album.

Elliot Minor - Elliot Minor

I owe so much to this album and this band. I'm pretty sure a great part of what I love in music nowadays is due to this album. This band is so dear to me, I love both their albums. I'll be forever sad that they split up before releasing more albums.
I'll never get tired of this album, ever.

La Reezy - We All Need Help
75

This is pretty nice. Super groovy. Growing Pains kinda stinks but I really like the rest of the album.

Red Velvet - Psycho

In & Out is one of their best bside.

"@playback Yeah, definitely. Everything about 'I burn' felt so complete and genuine, probably the peak of their artistry. The 'HANN' 'HWAA' and most importantly 'Dahlia' trio will never not be incredible to me."
