now THIS!! is taylor’s best work. her vocal style on these songs, the instrumentals on these songs, the production on these songs, they all come together in a perfect little taylor swift harmony. truly, even as a reputation stan, i must admit that THIS is where she belongs in the musical world
this is an album that, for me, took its time to grow on me. still, i dont find myself reaching for most of these songs and instead only listen to a small handful. however, that handful is incredibly strong, and is some excellent work from taylor
the weakest of taylor’s albums so far. while there so GREAT within, and songs that i really connected to, overall this project wasn’t something i found myself wanting to listen to again. there is an underlying vibe that feels rushed and repetitive at times
i cant believe they sampled sans undertale i havent stopped thinking about it
it’s super interesting to come back to this after listening to her albums! she’s grown so much from this point but this also still feels very billie eilish. a super fun EP and a great starting place for what was to come!
