This EP is really good. It feels like a very cool direction for Kole Xidas' music, and feels like a natural continuation after fizzle (even if the timeline of this project's creation is a little back-and-forth). Lyrically, there are some really nice moments, but honestly, I think the highlight of this project for me is the flows and the singing. Another incredible album that helped me rediscover what acoustic music means to me. Every track is inbued with so much passion and intrigue that it's mind blowing.
This album is incredible. With every new release Klark blows my mind with his musicianship and emblematic songwriting. Nobody does it like him and every new release changes my trajectory as a musician.
I feel like I never fully gave my thoughts on this project. When I first listened through the project I kinda wrote it off as more Kole Xidas music in the realm we've heard before, but the more I paid attention the more it felt distinctly different than much of his other work. This seems to enter into an area of Kole's self-loathing that hadn't been extensively explored yet, the loathing of the persona he portrays.
