Way more fragmented than Sings Reign Rebuilder, but it's still really good. There are a lot of great ideas here but they just don't coalesce in a cohesive fashion like the debut did. Even so, This Thing Between Us Is A Rickety Bridge Of Impossible Crossing / Bonfires For Nobody... is an incredibly evocative closer that I'll always cherish.
An excellent conglomeration of their signature field recordings, post rock suites and halcyonic fragments. Even when the experiments don't work as well they melt seamlessly into the atmosphere.
Wow. If every song matched the caliber of The Everyday World Of Bodies this would be an all-time classic. That doesn't mean there aren't other great tracks here though. Bible Silver Corner, Gauge, Jungle Jim, and Tooth Fairy Retribution Manifesto pull their weight but Shiner is a notable misfire.
Brilliantly oscillates between tranquil nature recordings and chilling dark ambient. Like an expedition that started off perfectly but begins to go off course.
