HARD math rock that swells and shrinks like a hurricane. Def feel like I need to revisit this once by weak little ears are more accustomed to post-HC type stuff, but I'd be lying if I said this wasn't abrasive in a very compelling way
more aggressive but weaker version of slint , everyday world of bodies is an all timer though one of my favorite songs from that era
i feel like the existence of this album in a post-spiderland world is a little.... inessential? i enjoyed it, but i don't feel like it adds anything particularly new to the table that hasn't been done by slint or polvo or dozens of other post-hardcore / math rock bands of that time. i mean, i still had a lot of fun listening to it and i will definitely be doing it again at some point, but that's mostly because i will eat up anything that has to do with the american underground ... read more
