Been giving this many re-listens since its release because I was lukewarm about the singles, but this thing has definitely grown on me. I do not think it will get to level of 3D Country for my personal taste, the highs on that record are just too good for me, but this thing is much more consistent and focused. Clearly Cameron is bringing in a little more of the song structure and vocal style of his solo album from 2024, which I liked, but some of the longer droning singing styles, drawing out ... read more
Super solid super fun. Do not like it quite as much as NO HANDS but it is definitely more fun to dance to and very consistent all the way through as we have come to expect from these two. Still not breaking any new molds but what they do they do is still very serviceable.
The production on this I think it a but of a step up from their last with a few new tricks/experimentation being pulled here. I just vibe with the more old school sounds from the previous record. Who knows maybe this will ... read more
I really loved analogue. It’s such a captivating song that I only discovered a couple weeks ago so I was excited for the debut, although I hardly knew anything about this group. But although this is good, it’s falls very one note to me.

I like First Love - bit of quirk. Feels a little like if Fleet Foxes and Great Big Sea had a daughter. It definitely feels like a late 2000s indie folk album. Lots of waltzes, which I’m such a sucker for, and cleaver enough lyrics. The whole album is just really easy to listen to and very cute in its presentation.
I wish there were a couple more tracks that stood out to me but it is solid all the way through, not really a skip in there.
It has the chance to be a long standing album for ... read more
Got recommended this by a friend and it is some pretty decent stuff. Obviously highly technical - two keyboards and drums is a interesting group to create your sound around, and boy do they produce a lot of sound.
Right out the gate, I want to say this album kind of overwhelms the ears a little. I cannot say I have listened to a lot of Math Rock adjacent music, and I think it shows in how I felt about this record. There is just a lot going on, which may reward subsequent listens, but I did not ... read more
