What a great album; I love the fast, repeating drums and the melodies and the emotional aspect to the songs if you listen closely. The way Kevin Parker uses his voice like an instrument whilst describing vulnerable aspects of his life is just beautiful to hear.

I didn't know samples from white girl songs could slap this hard and invoke such a range of emotions - but they can. It feels vintage like the samples were recorded from an old radio, but futuristic like a robot arranged them (in a cool, unorthodox way though - this not NOT sound ai). Very unique album
Jazzy, funky, druggy, colorful, sexy - this album is such an amazing hidden gem: like a combination of D'Angelo, Frank Ocean and Curtis Mayfield
This has the same interesting production as "Tales of the Inexpressible" and "Are you Shpongled", but is far more exiting to listen to - the fast paced, almost aggressive tone of the album really works well with the trippy music (the soundscape is very diverse and I love it.) The only thing is it really does drag on after a while - a fast paced instrumental album with many short songs needs to be cut down to 50 mins max. Or maybe my attention span is just fried. What a gorgeously sounding record this is; a range of emotions, artistic genius and amazing vocals all contribute towards this being a great listen - this sounds so tropical and down to earth but also floaty.
